Responsibilities
- Review and analyze patient medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures.
- Utilize ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems to assign appropriate codes for billing purposes.
- Prepare and submit insurance claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in patient records or coding.
