Asst. Project Manager (Residential Construction)
TruDesign Co. Inc. is a growing remodeling/ general contracting company based out of Quincy, MA. We deliver top-notch customer service, we take pride in our work, and we deliver a quality finished product. We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager in Residential Construction that is professional, reliable, positive, energetic, and works well in a fast paced environment.
Work to include service projects, small remodeling projects, and larger remodels/additions. Duties would include managing small crews of team members, knowledge in frame to finish carpentry, coordination and scheduling with owners, sub-contractor and vendors. Work in a safe manner, and stay organized. Work is generally in the Boston, South of Boston and metro west areas. Compensation/responsibilities/duties will grow as you become proficient at the position.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our design/build construction team performing multiple tasks in a fast pace, dynamic environment.
- Projects include: New construction/custom homes, kitchens & bathrooms, full and partial renovations, remodels, and additions.
- Design floor plans, produce conceptual drawings, select finishes and materials.
- Experience with Chief architect, AutoCAD or similar is preferred.
- Lead design meetings with clients.
- Prepare "scope of work" documents for the clients and construction team.
- Source and order project materials/ schedule product deliveries.
- Manage construction projects, subcontractors and coordinate with construction team.
- Estimate project costs, material take-off, perform field measurements.
- Must be professional, reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Must be organized and detail focused.
- Must have a passion for design and construction and eager to learn and grow.
- Willing to take on other company tasks (social media/marketing/branding etc.)
Experience :
- 2-4 years experience in residential remodeling/ construction
- Strong leadership skills
- High School Diploma/GED required, College degree preferred
- Can read plans/blueprints
- Knowledge in frame to finish carpentry
- Great Communication skills both written and verbal
- Cabinet Install/Cabinet making/ furniture making a plus
- 2-3 years residential design or construction experience required.
Associates or bachelors degree in interior design/ architecture/ construction management / engineering required.
Good driving record, reliable vehicle, and valid drivers license required. Attention to detail and a growth mindset
Job Type: Full-time
Salary range $55-85K
