Role Overview:
As a Character Performer at True Character Party, you will embody various characters and engage with children and guests at events. You’ll perform in full costume, bring joy and wonder through performances, and help create a fun and immersive experience for everyone involved.
Responsibilities:
- Perform in character at parties, events, and private bookings.
- Engage children and guests with fun activities, games, storytelling, and singing.
- Create a magical and memorable atmosphere through energetic performances.
- Stay in character throughout the event, ensuring authenticity and excitement.
- Collaborate with other performers and event staff to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
- Assist with setup, breakdown, and maintaining costumes and props.
- Adhere to event timelines and provide professional service at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous performance or acting experience is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and engaging with diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication, improvisation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain energy and stay in character for the duration of events.
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and a passion for creating fun and meaningful experiences.
- Ability to wear and perform in elaborate costumes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience performing in children’s entertainment (birthday parties, events, etc.).
- Comfort with singing, dancing, or other interactive activities.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different situations and read the room to keep the energy flowing.
