Job Summary

Our small business is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer payments. Your duties will include reviewing and inputting account information and correcting errors, creating invoices, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong mathematical skills and a commitment to accuracy. An eye for detail and a knack for data entry is key. Our office hours are M-F 8a-4:30p.

Responsibilities

• Processing and accurately recording transactions
• Maintaining detailed records of payments and account statuses
• Data entry pertaining to invoices
• Researching any account discrepancies and taking appropriate action for resolution
• Creating accurate invoices
• Light bookkeeping responsibilities
• Collaborating with other departments to gather additional information, ensure accounts are up-to-date, and develop plans to resolve discrepancies
• Occasional answering of business phone and routing to appropriate parties
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor or associate degree in accounting or a related field
• Previous experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar position
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, and general computer information
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and research skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
• Spanish Speaking a plus
