Front Desk/Sales Coordinator

True North Hotel Group, an award-winning management and development company, is seeking a Front Desk/Sales Coordinator to join our team at our TownePlace Suites in Ft. Myers, FL. We offer awesome benefits and a great family culture. 

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and checks them into hotel, issuing room keys, directing guests to rooms and other areas.
• Fulfills guests’ needs, ensuring their stay is as enjoyable as possible; assists with dining, entertainment, and transportation reservations, as needed.
• Handle incoming sales calls for groups of five or more and individuals for stays of 20 nights or more.  Qualify business and pass off to sales managers for potential business of 20 nights or more
• Resolves guest problems/complaints. Clerical duties include answering phone calls, taking messages, entering reservations, filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing
• Inspect “model” suites and VIP suites.  Do all impromptu tours.  Qualify business and pass off to sales manager for potential business of 20 nights or more.
• Track and follow up on all group rooming lists.  Type and track contracts for rooms.  Follow up on receipt of guarantees and rooming lists.
• Handle booking and contracting of meeting rooms.  Order catering, A/V.
• Responsible for all billing and coding of payables. & budget
• Weekly and monthly reports and submission to Corporate office
• Order and maintain proper sales collateral and gift supplies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, marketing, or related field or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Team oriented person who can focus on the detail.
• Efficient and well organized.
• Knowledge and experience with hotel accounting principles is a huge bonus!
