SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all Boardman facility manufacturing operations and capacities to support facility throughout to meet company objectives. Aligns manufacturing capabilities to support cost efficiency and sales objectives to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Ensures improving efficiency, setting/meeting budgets, and implementing employee policies.
- Develops plans to help operations run smoothly and ensures we stay on track with production targets and reports findings.
- Sets clear direction for production process and management of manufacturing needs.
- Makes recommendations for facility/equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
- Oversees Plant Supervisor to ensure inventory targets and cost control programs are met.
- Leading department management set goals, manage employees, and improve efficiencies.
- Manages site vendors, including approving all invoicing for all plant
- Works in coordination with QA team to ensure product quality-control programs, which include timely response to quality concerns and submission of quality documentation met.
- Identifies department training needs and develop training plans, which includes GMPs and SOPs.
- Supporting the HR department in staff management, hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions
- Ensures implementation and evolution of safety procedures is a leader in changing safety work culture to reduce injuries and ensure team is in compliance.
- Oversees maintenance to assure that production equipment and facilities are maintained in proper working condition and in a validated mode by assuring use of Change Control procedures.
- Ensures that team meets all SOPs and batch records are maintained to reflect current manufacturing methods and are in conformance with product licenses and labels.
- Monitors product standards, examines samples of raw products or directs testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
Qualifications
- BS in general education requires and/or a combination of 5 years education and experience.
- Minimum of 10 years in production/manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and lead a team of hourly and/or salary team members.
- Must be able to understand material movement, inventory management and be able to use ERP system.
- Ability to interpret a variety of agricultural information and manage changing variables.
- Bilingual, English/Spanish a plus but not required.
- Intermediate to expert knowledge with Microsoft office products like Excel, Word, Power Point
