Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative serves customers by providing product and service information as well as resolving product and service problems. Maintains customer records and coordinates orders with manufacturing operations, finance team and sales and marketing team.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer product and service question; suggestion product and service information
- Process customer orders and respond timely to sales inquiries
- Resolves product or service delivery problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause and selecting the best solution
- Expediting correction or adjustment for product and service with appropriate following up
- Maintain customer records with updated account information
- Initiate paperwork to prompt internal action on the customers’ behalf (credits, complaints, etc)
- Requires occasional off-site customer visits with growth opportunity in the sales department
- Clerical tasks such as filing, data entry and correspondence for the sales department
- Any additional duties as assigned by management
Experience and Education
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Friendly and helpful approach to assist and resolve customer issues
- Preferred at least two years or more of previous customer service experience
- Attention to detail as shown by accuracy and consistency, providing requested information on a timely basis, and following policies and procedures
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft office products
- Order entry into legacy computer systems
- Basic administrative skills with an emphasis on both verbal and written communication
- Second language a plus based on customers assigned
Organizational Relationships
- Constant internal communication with Manufacturing Operations, Finance and Sales and Marketing
- Frequent customer communication to improve sales and maintain positive partnership and coordination
Travel Required
- Occasional travel would be required
Scope of Role
- Maintain a good relationship with customers and co-workers, along with apprising management of any complaints, or special needs of the customers.
Annual salary of $70,000-$80,000
