Role: |
|
Responsible for assisting Loan Officer, Processor and Closer with all mortgage applications. Generate and place all Loan Disclosures in loan. Initial contact with members to verify and document all needed information. Submitting the file to processing. |
|
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: |
| E | 40% | Update mortgage applications within the LOS system. Order and process all Loan Disclosure requests in order to meet program guidelines. |
| E | 25% | Receive and document all conditions received from members and outside vendors. Communicate with loan officers, processors, closers, underwriters, and members as necessary. Analyze information for completeness, accuracy and acceptability to Secondary Market and True Sky CU guidelines. |
| E | 20% | Package loans for Pre- Funding audit approval and Closed loan audit. Respond timely to all audit reviews performed by third party vendor to provide any additional documentation or detail as requested. Work with underwriting and management to provide responses to any audit findings. |
| E | 10% | Attend all required training and maintain regulatory compliance with all real estate regulation including but not limited to Reg E, Reg Z, RESPA, TRID, BSA, Ofac. |
| N | 5% | Answer member phone calls, cross sell and perform other job related duties as assigned. |

Performance Measurements: |
| 1. | To produce mortgage loan documents, organize files, and prepare loan files for approval in a timely manner. |
| 2. | To cross sell credit union products and services. |
| 3. | To maintain compliance with SAFE Act guidelines Real Estate Processors will not quote interest rates or perform loan officer duties. |
| 4. | To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance. |
| 5. | To cross-train on other positions within the department as needed. |
| 6. | To stay current and comply with all federal and state regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Controls ("OFAC") and all credit union policies and procedures. |

Knowledge and Skills: |
|
Experience | One year to three years of similar or related experience. |
|
|
Education | (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. |
|
|
Interpersonal Skills | The ability to speak to co-workers and members in a courteous, professional manner is an essential element of the job. Work involves knowledge of member's personal information so confidentiality is required. |
|
|
Other Skills | Must be able to demonstrate proficiency and a high level knowledge of mortgage lending concepts and guidelines. Above average time management skills, ability to manage multiple workloads with successful results, ability to work independently. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Must have good communication skills both written and verbal. Good listening and organizational skills. Ten key calculator, computer skills, and keyboarding skills. |
