As we expand our presence in the Houston, Texas market, we are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead our operations, foster growth, and build lasting relationships in the community. Position Overview The General Manager will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the success of day-to-day operations while strategically guiding the company’s growth. This is a dynamic position that blends operational excellence with visionary leadership in a fast-paced and evolving industry. Key Roles & Responsibilities Operational Leadership ▪ Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and consistency across all departments ▪ Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations Sales & Business Development ▪ Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities ▪ Develop and execute effective sales strategies ▪ Enhance customer satisfaction and retention Team Leadership & Development ▪ Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing, motivated team ▪ Build a positive, accountable workplace culture Financial Management ▪ Lead budgeting and forecasting processes ▪ Monitor and control costs to maximize profitability ▪ Provide clear and accurate financial reports Community Engagement ▪ Represent True Words Foods in the Houston community ▪ Cultivate partnerships with local stakeholders, organizations, and customers Compensation & Benefits ▪ Annual Base Salary: $ 90,000 ~ $110,000 depending on experience ▪ Bonus: Discretionary annual incentive bonus ▪ Salary Reviews: Increases, bonuses, and other incentives are merit-based and tied to individual and business performance ▪ Medical, dental, and vision insurance are provided after completion of probationary period ▪ Short and long-term disability, life insurance, FSA ▪ 401(k) retirement plan ▪ 6 paid holidays per year ▪ Paid Time Off Qualifications ▪ Proven experience in operations, team leadership, and business development ▪ Strong financial acumen and budget management skills ▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities ▪ A passion for food, sustainability, and community impact ▪ Previous experience in the seafood or foodservice industry is a big plus Why Join Us?
