About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and deliver projects of varying size and complexity. You will be responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle, from estimating, pre-construction planning and budgeting to execution, monitoring, and closeout, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of construction management principles, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Review bid documents/plans/schedules to establish complete understanding of contract & project scope
- Determine resources requirement from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Participate in proposal & contract development
- Develop, update & maintain project execution plan/schedule/budget; provide status reports to project leaders & personnel
- Plan & participate in change order negotiations
- Valuation of cost reporting, cost management & other project financials
- Utilize project risk mitigation tools to prevent project conflicts
- Evaluate project progress & prepare detailed reports for stakeholders
- Ensure all projects are safely delivered on time & within budget according to requirements
- Guide and mentor estimators in optimal estimate set-up, provide support completing schedule of values, assist with bid reviews and bid strategy/analysis
- Responsible for management & continuous improvement of enterprise estimating processes & procedures
- Customize & continuously improve the B2W database to meet customer requirements & the company's unique needs
- Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management or Engineering
- 3-5 years of proven experience in Construction Project Management
- Outstanding problem solving, judgment, & decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Cost management, forecasting and Earned Value reporting
- Strong organizational & time management skills
- Detail-oriented, team player with excellent follow-up skills
- Superior interpersonal & written/verbal communication skills
- Travel may be required up to 30%
- PMP certification or FE (EIT) certificate
- Experienced in B2W Estimate
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with CPM & linear scheduling, Primavera P6, & Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with EM-385 and/or OSHA 30 Hour certification and training
- Familiarity with CQM certification and training
