Business Systems Specialist Job Profile - Associate
The Associate Business Systems Specialist will assist in optimizing and maintaining our business systems, with a focus on leveraging Airtable to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency. As a key member of our innovation team, this role will collaborate with various departments to understand their workflow needs, implement tailored solutions, and provide ongoing support to ensure the smooth functioning of our business systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Business Systems Management:
- Evaluate, implement, and manage business systems to support operational workflows.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address system improvement opportunities.
- Airtable Expertise:
- Serve as the resident Airtable expert, providing guidance and support to users.
- Design, develop, and maintain Airtable databases to meet specific business needs.
- Implement automation and scripting within Airtable to enhance functionality and reduce manual processes.
- Customization and Integration:
- Customize Airtable bases to align with unique departmental requirements.
- Integrate Airtable with other tools and platforms to create seamless end-to-end solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain data consistency.
- Training and Support:
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to maximize their proficiency with Airtable.
- Provide ongoing support to address user inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and optimize user experience.
- Develop documentation and tutorials to facilitate self-service for users.
- Data Analysis:
- Utilize Airtable's reporting and analytics features to generate insights and reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop dashboards for monitoring business metrics.
- Initiative to execute assigned projects, identify issues and use critical thinking skills to deliver solutions to both clients and advisors, earning the continued confidence of your team members.
- Demonstrate proficiency in core responsibilities and relevant technology platforms, providing support to the innovation/technology team.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role required, including the achievement of a bachelor’s or advanced degree.
- Knowledge of Airtable, including customization, scripting, and integration capabilities preferred, but willing to train.
- Prior experience with automation tools such as Zapier or Make.com, or general-purpose languages like JavaScript or Python.
- Detail-oriented – must be able to take a project from blueprints to implementation.
- Autonomy - ability to move quickly on a fast-paced team to research, test, and implement solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop solutions through critical thinking and resourcefulness.
- Demonstrate initiative to grow both personally and professionally as our industry and firm change.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of working on a computer and occasional periods sitting.
- May have to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Minimal travel required. Frequent attendance at internal meetings required.
- Occasional attendance at meeting with outside partners.
- Travel outside the region may be required for business and/or professional development.
