The Fitness Manager (FM)
- Is responsible for exceeding club goals, including personal training, small group personal training, supplements and personal sales.
- Owns new member onboarding and delivers a dynamic, quality fitness experience to all members.
- Responsible for total team execution of all company quality assurance standards.
- Hires, trains, and develops a strong team of Personal Trainers.
- Responsible for small group personal training staffing and execution in partnership with key program leaders.
- Maintains leadership role as the fitness expert for the club team and members.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Personal Sales
- Staffing and Development
- Conduct weekly (or as-needed) meetings with direct reports to review performance and offer direction, motivation, guidance, and accountability to exceed goals and objectives.
- Manage the fitness schedule.
- Ensures all members have access to a service-oriented, well-trained, expert fitness team that can provide fitness guidance, training, and programs.
- Ensure that all Personal Trainers are delivering high quality programs to their clients.
- Ensure accurate administration of Personal Training including client profiles, progress tracking, and workout programs.
- Complete personal training sessions and/or small group training as necessary.
Certifications / Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current Certified Personal Trainer certification (preferred).
- Current CPR and AED.
Experience
- 1-2 years as a personal trainer (preferred).
- Prior management experience in the fitness industry, leading 5-10 employees (preferred).
- Successful personal sales experience (required).
