Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient care processes, ensuring smooth operations within the clinic, and providing exceptional service to our patients. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in medical office procedures.
Hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30am -4 pm and Friday 7:30- 3pm
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient treatment plans by scheduling appointments and managing medical records efficiently.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients, ensuring accurate billing and coding practices. DSN experience a plus!
- Handle medical collections and follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Maintain accurate health information management systems, including documentation of patient interactions and treatment updates.
- Utilize DSN or similar software for scheduling, billing, and patient communication.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options, insurance questions, and appointment reminders.
- Collaborate with dental clinic staff to streamline operations and enhance patient experience.
- Assist in training new staff on office procedures related to medical scheduling and coding.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical records management, coding practices, and insurance verification processes is essential.
- Familiarity with medical collection procedures and health information management systems.
- Proficiency in using phone systems for effective communication with patients and staff.
- Experience with DSN or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
