A role that is responsible for leading portions of the security configuration management (SCM) control functions as described by industry best practices such as NIST and FFIEC. This will include a subset of the following sub-functions :
- Identify in scope assets
- Define an industry based set of secure configuration requirements for in scope technologies
- Assign ownership of non-compliance
- Enforce remediation efforts
- Use reports and metrics to highlight risk
- SCM governance administration
- Cloud management
