JOB SUMMARY:
As Human Resource Clerk will support the Human Resources department by providing customer service to and building strong relationships with all employees while ensuring timely receipt, input, accuracy and retention of employment related documentation.
$17.00 /HR DOE
- Maintain human resources records by requesting, receiving, tracking, inputting, scanning and/or filing documents related to pre-hires, new hires, current employees and terminations, while ensuring accuracy of documentation and data entry.
- Data entry of information for background checks along with review, receipt and tracking of background check status. Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding background check completion and missing/incomplete paperwork
- Verify I-9's are documented properly. Process E-Verify for each employee and relay any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Initiate the distribution of specific new hire, current employee and termination documents to various departments while appropriately responding to various requests for information.
- Transfer employee complaints, recruitment needs or any other HR related matter outside your job functions to the appropriate HR personnel.
- Distribute pre-adverse and adverse action letters and any other related documents, in compliance with FCRA guidelines.
- Develop, update and maintain tracking systems necessary in daily operations.
- Respond to requests for employment verifications/references in accordance with policy or normal procedure.
- Run queries related to employee anniversary dates, merge information from excel to word, print and mail anniversary certificates.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:
- Must type a minimum of 40 wpm; be computer literate and proficient in Word and Excel
- Excellent telephone & face-to-face communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Good spelling skills and enjoy scanning and filing documents
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Empathetic
