What are the responsibilities and job description for the Budtender position at Truly Pure?
We've had the pleasure of serving the Oregon cannabis community for over 9 years and we are very passionate about cannabis and our community. Having an in-depth knowledge of cannabis is a must. We pride ourselves on educating our customers to ensure we meet their expectations and create a positive shopping experience. You do not need to possess this knowledge right away for this position but you must be passionate about the learning process.
As a Budtender you will be representing Truly Pure, creating rapport and maintaining relationships and positive experiences with customers. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain patience and positive outlook in stressful situations. They should also have an outgoing personality and be very comfortable talking with the public. Pay may reflect experience level.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop a strong understanding of products, mission, and values and effectively communicate them to customers.
- Barcoding and stocking products in a timely manner. *This is a lot of the job. Lots of labeling products when not engaged with a customer. Although this can be tedious, employees must have the initiative and positive attitude to complete these tasks every day.
- Stocking sales supplies (pop tops, exit bags, paper bags, ext.)
- Maintain awareness of store cleanliness, cleaning and organizing when necessary.
- Gather and provide feedback regarding customer insights and questions.
- Handling cash and maintaining accurate counts.
Qualifications:
- Must follow procedures.
- Must be punctual! Everyone's time is equally valuable.
- Must be detail oriented. Notice things out of place and correct them.
- Must be able to learn, retain, and convey information about our products.
- Must be outgoing, attentive, and comfortable engaging in conversation with customers.
- Must have strong work ethic.
- Prior or current cannabis bud-tender, distributor, or sales experience a plus!
- Successfully manage time, workflow, and daily responsibilities.
- Must have flexible schedule.
- Must be 21 and have an active OLCC Marijuana Workers Permit.
- Having a valid drivers license and reliable transportation is a plus.
- Familiarity with Biotrack or other POS systems is a plus.
