What You’ll Do:
A proactive and dependable partner to Executive Leadership, the Controller must take leadership accountability of all accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a proactive and positive attitude. Be comfortable in a dynamic environment and be willing to adapt and inspire a team. In addition, he/she must be ambitious with a strong desire to grow.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Provides leadership, direction, and management of the accounting team with 2 direct reports
- Establish and develop relationships with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/President and members of the executive management team
- Oversee the accounting operations of the company including the monthly accounting close, financial reporting, A/P & A/R functions, monthly account reconciliations, fixed assets, internal controls, and cost analysis.
- Own the financial planning analysis and modeling functions.
- Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
- Lead annual budget process.
- Ensures strict compliance with all company policies, procedures, and controls.
- Ownership of the internal audit of accounting procedures.
- Oversee the company’s annual external auditing and taxation processes and filings.
- Identify and advise on opportunities to improve corporate governance, cost controls, processes and KPIs

Position Requirements:
- Education: 4-year degree in accounting required
- Experience: SAP or other large ERP software expertise required. 5 years of experience with progressive leadership experience. Audit management experience required, experience with 3rd party tax, audit, and accounting firms
- Certification: CPA certification preferred
- Functional Skills: Exposure in a multinational firm and working within a multicurrency environment (USD$, CAD$, Euro) Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience building and leading a high functioning team.
- Technology Aptitude/Skills: Expertise with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
