Position Information Position Title Admission Counselor - Graduate Recruitment Job Responsibilities The Admission Counselor for Graduate Recruitment coordinates and implements the graduate student recruitment plan, assists with applications, and processes admissions in collaboration with faculty. Reporting to the Associate Director of Admission, the counselor helps achieve goals for inquiries, applicants, acceptances, and enrollments across graduate programs.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment
Develop and implement graduate recruitment plans and goals by program.
Use enrollment and communication software for data-driven decision-making.
Train counselors on graduate student recruitment.
Review applications and submit complete files for faculty review.
Marketing & Communications
Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Marketing on marketing and communication strategies.
Incorporate technology to enhance connections with prospective students.
Maintain up-to-date graduate recruitment materials and websites.
Work with program directors to improve communication and recruitment efforts.
Professional Development
Attend webinars, conferences, and professional events related to recruitment.
Join relevant professional organizations.
Reporting
Document processes for major projects to aid training and reference.
Other Duties
Assist with campus tours and visits in individual, group, or virtual settings.
Support office operations, including answering phones and responding to inquiries.
Research and report on admissions trends and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to travel and work evenings / weekends.
Capacity to lift / carry up to pounds.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Experience in higher education or graduate admissions.
