Position Information Position Title Admission Counselor Job Responsibilities The Office of Admission at Truman State University seeks a self-motivated, passionate, and dynamic individual to serve as an admission counselor. The admission counselor will have primary responsibility for recruiting new first-year students, with an emphasis on supporting one of the teams within the Office of Admission.
Duties include regional travel within an assigned territory, representing the institution with on-campus and off-campus recruitment events, participating in file reviews, counseling prospective students and their families through the admission process, and conducting individual meetings and presentations. - Manage recruitment in assigned territory.
- Manage communication within assigned territory to prospective students and other stakeholders.
- Represent Truman State University at recruitment events on and off campus.
- Meet with prospective students and families during visits to Truman State University campus. The meetings may occur in individual or group settings and both physical and virtual settings.
- Participate in file review of applications and recommend decisions to the admissions committee.
- Utilize enrollment and communication software in support of enrollment goals.
- Use data to make informed decisions.
- Other duties as assigned.
