Admission Operations Assistant
Job Responsibilities
The Admission Operations Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the integrity and efficiency of application processing within the Office of Admission. This position ensures the accuracy of student records by entering and managing data in Slate and Banner, processing documents and checklist items, assisting with communication and mailing workflows, and supporting student workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry & Document Processing: Enter transcripts, test scores, applications, and supporting materials into Slate and Banner; upload documents to records; track materials and monitor document queues.
- Record Maintenance & Accuracy: Run data queries to identify incomplete or inconsistent records; update fields such as addresses, school codes, etc.; assist with checklist clean-up and record audits.
- Mailing & Communication Support: Assist with preparation and mailing of admissions materials and checklist reminders; help organize print materials for events and communications; upload letters or correspondence into student records.
- Phone & Office Support: Provide support in answering phones and responding to routine application-related questions; route inquiries to appropriate staff; support front-desk tasks during high-volume times.
- Student Worker Support: Guide and assist student workers handling document entry and record updates; maintain process documentation and training resources; provide peer oversight during shared work sessions.
- Additional Support: Support mailing and project workflows across admissions operations; assist with campus visit and orientation prep as needed; maintain documentation of assigned processing procedures.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, strong attention to detail and task accuracy, ability to manage routine administrative tasks with consistency and professionalism, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate/bachelor’s degree or relevant office experience, familiarity with Slate, Banner, or similar systems, interest in admissions operations or student services
