- The Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking qualified ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL candidates for our Fairhaven School for the 2025-2026 program year and beyond.
- The ideal candidate will assist the Principal in managing, administering and facilitating the daily operations, activities and events of the Fairhaven school and preschool program.
- Responsibilities include assisting with meeting the needs of students through curriculum development.
- Assisting in the development and administration of policies dealing with discipline, conduct, and attendance pertaining to students, employees, and parents.
- Working with and assisting employees in the development of effective classroom discipline and organization.
- Assisting in the development of an instructional budget.
- Providing activities which facilitate the professional growth of school employees and enhances the quality of the instructional program.
- Assisting in the supervision of special events.
- Assisting in the management of the building and grounds.
- Assisting with required drills and implementing emergency plans safely and effective.
- Supervising and evaluating certified, paraprofessional, and support employees as assigned.
- Qualified candidates must have a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in special education, education administration, or related field.
- Candidates also must have a valid Principal’s licensure from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
- Five years of successful working experience with the developmental disability population.
- Two (2) years with preschoolers is preferred.
- Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and abuser registry clearances required.
