Head of Operations

We are a well-established and rapidly growing organization in the Commercial Roofing and Fencing Industry seeking an experienced Head of Operations to join our winning team in Austin, TX.

The Head of Operations will oversee the company’s operational strategies, field crews (employees and subs), project management, financial oversight, and process improvements. This role requires a strong background in construction, yard/inventory management, procurement, and operational leadership. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing sizable operations in a construction-related industry and expertise in leading teams, improving processes, and driving efficiency.

Duties

• Lead and manage all field and office operations, ensuring seamless coordination between departments.
• Develop, implement, and oversee processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of roofing and fencing projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Implement quality control measures to maintain the company’s reputation for excellence.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to maximize profitability.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in construction, roofing, fencing, or a related industry.
• Experience in managing 40 crews (ideally across multiple cities)
• Demonstrated track record in driving growth and operational improvements
• Strong background in yard and inventory management with hands-on experience in warehouse/yard logistics.
• Advanced procurement skills, with a track record of optimizing purchasing strategies and vendor relationships.
• Advanced project management skills with a deep understanding of scheduling, estimation, and job costing.
