Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant
Trustpoint is partnering with a national law firm to find a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant. This hybrid role will start in-office for one month and then transition to a 3 days in-office, 2 days remote schedule. The position will support the firm's litigation practice, focusing on bankruptcy and other areas.
Responsibilities:
- Manage attorneys' calendars, including travel arrangements and upcoming court appearances monitoring
- Draft various correspondence and prepare legal documents, such as briefs and pleadings; file electronically and traditionally
- Provide case management assistance and track litigation progress
- Enter attorney timesheets using firm software and maintain the attorney diary system
- Answer phone calls, screen messages, and schedule depositions, meetings, and appointments
- Maintain the file system according to firm guidelines
- Document and enter expense reimbursements
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in litigation support; experience in bankruptcy preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in court filings, both electronic and traditional
- Able to generate TOC and TOA
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Professional
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of attorneys and staff
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize workflow and manage cases/projects efficiently
- Can work at a computer screen for extended periods
