Job Details
The Senior Failure Analysis Engineer will be responsible for conducting failure analysis on power supply modules and systems to support RMA cases and resolve internal and external customer concerns.
Key Responsibilities:Debug and verify the functionality of AC/DC switching power supply modules that utilize Power Integrations products.
Perform fault isolation, defect analysis, and characterization of power ICs to determine root causes of failures occurring during reliability tests, production tests, and power supply applications.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical reports detailing findings from failure investigations to customers.
Visit customers as needed to address quality concerns and enhance customer satisfaction.
Assist customers in China and Taiwan in resolving quality-related issues.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, providing clear and persuasive technical reports for external customers.
Strong background in failure analysis of power semiconductors, analog, and mixed-signal ICs.
Experience with switch-mode power supply applications and analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits.
Proficiency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
Excellent English communication skills, particularly in technical writing.
Experience in customer interaction and quality issue resolution is highly valued.
Candidates with a background in automotive failure analysis and customer communication will be given preference.
Ability to interpret system-level schematics, IC-level schematics, and CMOS/bipolar IC layouts.
Preference for candidates with a deep understanding of analog, mixed-signal, or power semiconductor characteristics, along with expertise in fault isolation at both chip and PCB power supply system levels.
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Candidates with a Master s degree (MSEE) or equivalent with 3 years of relevant experience will be preferred.
