Job Summary:
The Media Supervisor is responsible for leading the development and execution of innovative media strategies that contribute to client success. This role involves overseeing campaign performance, managing client and vendor relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality media strategies. The Media Supervisor also plays a key role in researching and developing media plans, identifying target audiences, and selecting the most effective media outlets. They approve the media mix based on client budgets and objectives and perform various tasks, potentially directing the work of others.
Work from home policy: Hybrid/Remote combination.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement comprehensive media strategies tailored to client objectives and target audiences
· Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, presenting media plans and recommendations effectively
· Establish audience profiles and primary strategies to guide media plans
· Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, optimizing strategies to achieve desired results and ROI
· Stay informed about industry trends, emerging media platforms, and competitive landscape to inform planning decisions
· Oversee budget management, ensuring campaigns are delivered within financial parameters while maximizing effectiveness
· Prepare and present reports on campaign performance and insights to clients and internal stakeholders
· Train and mentor internal teams (media planners, assistant planners) on a daily basis; help with onboarding and agency trainings as needed
· Master account and media vehicle knowledge
· Review and discuss opportunities with industry experts – educate team, evaluate industry trends, needs for research
· Primary internal team and client-facing responsibility for media discipline
· Schedule and attend media representative meetings
· Work with media team leadership to determine goals and strategies for junior-level team development
· Oversees the daily workflow of the account team
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proficiency in various media planning tools: Kantar/Vivvix, Pathmatics, Scarborough, MediaTools, DCM, ComScore, etc.
· Strong communication and presentation skills, with a client-focused approach.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience using research tools such as Simmons MRI, Resonate, GWI
· Ability to analyze large amounts of data and develop into a digestible story for clients
· Experience managing client relationships
· Ability to self-manage, juggle multiple priorities, and pay strong attention to details
· Able to effectively manage costs while exceeding performance and goals
· Excellent communication skills, well organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
· Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams
· Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience;
· Five or more years of experience in media planning
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
