Description
Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Coordinator - Inbound is to assist in the coordination of warehouse receiver activities that include receiving and slotting product in a way that supports the flow for warehouse selectors. The Warehouse Coordinator will support the team by receiving product throughout the shift. The Warehouse Coordinator will also coordinate the daily inventory count.
Warehouse Coordinator will also be responsible for maintenance of all the equipment and some building maintenance (minor). They will be responsible for draft trailers and the execution of related events for which the trailers will be used.
Essential Functions (must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation):
Assists the Warehouse Supervisor with training staff on standard operating procedures, quality measures, and safety compliance.
Recommends modifications to standard operating procedures should the need arise.
Takes preventative action to ensure a safe work environment and writes accident reports as necessary.
Completes accurate inventory control activities and paperwork which include receivers’/unloaders’ reports, invoices, load sheets, facility & equipment reports.
Execute all inventory and inbound related procedures as outlined in the current Warehouse and Inventory Quality Control Policy.
Stay current with all SOP and supplier compliance requirements and ensure warehouse personnel compliance with them.
Execute completion of daily schedule developed by the Routing Manager, proactively identify, and resolve issues.
Communicate daily with off- shift supervisor or coordinator on daily overall department goals and potential issues.
Assist in the development and communication of department goals to achieve effective core metric performance, educate personnel on metric definition, importance to department and how they impact performance.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates are recommended to have a 2-year degree and at least one year of supervisory experience preferably in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting. Equivalent work-related experience in lieu of a degree will be considered. Computer literacy is required, preferably with the ability to utilize excel spreadsheets and word processing software. The incumbent will occasionally lift or move up to 165 pounds.
