We have an immediate need for a First shift Chief Assistant Manager in our New Castle, IN manufacturing facility. Excellent benefits package and bonus are available for qualifying candidates.
Qualifications:
Good understanding of Quality and Engineering processes within a JIT Seat Assembly manufacturing environment. Good written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills. Previous quality and engineering experience required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support and contribute to product design to produce quality products at minimum cost.
- Coordinate new model part and product development activity.
- Establish and control project timelines.
- Oversee tooling development and part maturation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to associates and other departments.
- Report part development status to management.
- Monitor supplier quality results.
- Allocate resources to address quality and design related issues.
- Evaluate design change and cost reduction proposals.
- Support company for specifications, design and tooling related queries.
- Review and approve corrective action requests and responses.
- Evaluate part data and performance for acceptance into production.
- Review and approve quality standards, ensuring critical control points are addressed.
- Provide support to suppliers to improve part quality.
- Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
- Ensure safe operations.
- Have the ability to establish and execute a monthly plan.
- Will ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Requires extensive knowledge of new model activities, including quality and engineering procedures.
