What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cultivation Lead position at TSC Operations?
SUMMARY
The Cultivation Lead will assist the Cultivation Manager with all assigned agronomic activities including staff oversight, general plant health, tracking and documentation of processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This position includes, but is not limited to, assisting the Cultivation Manager and at times managing the following:
- Manage all aspects involved in producing high-quality plant material in a safe and efficient manner.
- Oversee Cultivation Associates in regard to daily workflow and tasks.
- Ensure employees are maintaining donning and biosecurity protocols.
- Manage proper plant upkeep and maintenance.
- Scheduling and application of irrigation based on a pre-determined formula.
- Scouting of assigned areas for pest/disease pressures and reporting of findings.
- Ability to follow and apply pesticides and foliar applications from a pre-determined schedule.
- Be in possession or have the ability to obtain a Certified Pesticide Applicator license.
- Alert Cultivation Manager of any plants that show poor health and formulate solutions to remediate.
- Responsible for safety procedures and adherence to area of responsibility.
- Train one or more Cultivation Associates as a backup or point of contact.
- Mentor and develop staff for professional and personal growth.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging environment.
- Understand and adhere to all state regulations.
- Stay current with the latest grow solutions and technology.
- Maintain daily sanitation and organization in assigned areas.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with Cultivation Manager, Cultivation Agents, and outside professionals.
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to manage people and provide day-to-day supervision.
- Ability to gather, track, and report on metrics obtained during cropping cycle.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENT
- Available to work 40 hours weekly
- Available to work Weekends when requested
- Able to lift 30Lbs
