About the Role

TGA of Central Hennepin & Eastern Twin Cities is seeking a Head Golf Professional to lead instruction and player development at Brookview Golf Course . This is a unique opportunity for a self-starter who wants to build their own lesson business while having the support of an established golf programming structure.

Unlike traditional golf course roles, this position is entirely focused on instruction not managing a pro shop or handling course operations. The right candidate will have the autonomy to run private lessons, group clinics, corporate programs, and junior / adult development initiatives.

Instruction-Driven Spend your time teaching, coaching, and growing the game not working behind a counter.

Set Your Own Rates Earn based on the number of lessons you provide.

Marketing & Administrative Support We handle scheduling, payments, and client outreach to help you succeed.

Built-In Client Base High demand for private lessons, with an existing waitlist and strong community interest.

Opportunities Beyond Private Lessons Expand your income through corporate clinics, junior programs, leagues, and specialty group instruction.

Potential for Year-Round Work Utilize simulators for off-season lessons and participate in TGAs after-school and winter programs.

Responsibilities

Provide private and group golf instruction for juniors, adults, and corporate clients.

Design and lead instructional programs, clinics, and leagues at Brookview.

Build relationships with golfers and grow your personal lesson clientele.

Collaborate with TGA and Brookview staff to enhance player development initiatives.

Represent TGAs mission of making golf fun, accessible, and inclusive for all skill levels.

Participate in marketing efforts (social media, email campaigns, community outreach) to promote programming.

Be a resource for running successful junior and adult camps, leagues, and special events.

Qualifications

Certified PGA / LPGA Professional (or actively pursuing certification).

Minimum of 2 years of golf coaching experience (private lessons, group clinics, or camps preferred).

Passion for player development and making golf accessible to all skill levels.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Entrepreneurial mindset ability to grow a lesson business and retain students.

Availability for weekend and evening instruction (peak lesson times).

Self-motivated with a team-first mentality to work alongside Brookview and TGA staff.
