Daycare Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in nurturing and educating young children in a safe and stimulating environment. The Daycare Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and staff to foster a positive atmosphere that encourages growth and development.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
• Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and organized environment conducive to learning.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social interaction and emotional development.
• Monitor children's progress and behavior, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special needs or disabilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in classroom management or caregiving roles such as babysitting or nannying.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings is highly desirable.
• Ability to create engaging educational activities that promote learning through play.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for educating young children.
• Relevant certifications in early childhood education or related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
• High school diploma or equivalent (assistant)
• Associates degree, 12 credit hours, Bachelor's degree, or CDA (lead teacher)
