Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for dogs in our care. You will interact with pets and their owners, ensuring that all dogs receive the attention and care they need while promoting a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure safety and enjoyment.
- Provide basic grooming services, including brushing and bathing when necessary.
- Assist in training dogs in basic commands and socialization skills.
- Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including kennels, play areas, and equipment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff.
- Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and behaviors.
- Assist with heavy lifting of supplies or equipment as required for daily operations.
Qualifications
- Experience in pet care or working with animals is preferred.
- Skills in dog handling, animal restraint, or dog training are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus.
- Previous experience in a kennel or veterinary setting is beneficial but not required.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential.
