THESE ARE THE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A NUTANIX ENGINEER:

Nutanix Core Experience

• Lead the deployment and management of Nutanix HCI solutions, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and availability
• Assist with setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Nutanix clusters, utilizing Nutanix Prism for centralized management
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity solutions leveraging Nutanix’s high availability features
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement cloud-like operations within on-premise infrastructure, optimizing performance and reducing complexity
• Provide technical expertise and support for Nutanix environments, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and tools
  
  

Experience With Nutanix Move For Migrations

• Plan, manage, and execute migrations of workloads from on-premise or public cloud environments to Nutanix using Nutanix Move
• Perform live migration of virtual machines and workloads, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity during the transition
• Coordinate migration activities, ensuring they align with business objectives and operational needs
• Troubleshoot any migration-related issues, providing quick resolution to minimize disruptions during the migration process
  
  

Experience With Nutanix Files

• Configure, deploy, and manage Nutanix Files to provide enterprise-grade file storage solutions
• Ensure optimal performance and scalability for unstructured data storage needs, leveraging Nutanix’s file storage architecture
• Collaborate with storage teams to integrate Nutanix Files into the broader storage strategy, enabling a simplified and unified approach to managing data
• Perform routine health checks and performance tuning of Nutanix Files to ensure the infrastructure meets SLAs and performance expectations
  
  

Experience With Server Workloads

• Manage and optimize server workloads running on Nutanix HCI, ensuring efficient resource allocation and system performance
• Use Nutanix Prism to monitor and analyze server workloads, optimizing compute, storage, and networking resources for optimal performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve server workload issues quickly to maintain operational continuity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain server workload configurations that support business operations and growth
  
  

YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE EVERYTHING ABOVE BECAUSE YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE LIKE:

• Experience: 3 years of experience working with Nutanix products, particularly Nutanix HCI, Nutanix Move, Nutanix Files, and server workload management.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Experience with Nutanix Prism, Move, and Files
• In-depth understanding of server and storage architectures, and cloud environments
• Proficiency in migration methodologies and tools, with specific experience in Nutanix Move
• Knowledge of file storage solutions and unstructured data management
• Certifications: Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or Nutanix Certified Expert (NCE) is highly preferred
• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple platforms and environments
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients
• Project Management: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  

Additional Desired Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud deployments
• Familiarity with data protection, backup, and recovery strategies in Nutanix environments.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting for optimizing Nutanix workloads and infrastructure.
