The Role

As Controller, you will partner with the CFO to oversee all accounting operations. You will play a key role in establishing strong controls, enhancing financial reporting, and leading the annual audit. The senior management team will rely on your expertise to generate insightful reports and drive operational efficiency to support our continued growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls and guidelines.
• Oversee inventory management systems and identify areas for improvement.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize accounting systems, leading implementations when needed.
• Champion the annual financial audit, preparing necessary documents and management memos.
• Partner with the CFO to establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards.
• Ensure compliance with use tax reporting across all operating states.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to protect company assets, policies, and workflows.
• Oversee insurance compliance and ensure proper completion of workers' compensation audits.
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly and ensure alignment between CRM and ERP systems.
• Support the payroll department with state and payroll tax notices.

Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
• 5 - 7 years of experience in a senior accounting role
• Proven ability to hire, train, and retain top accounting talent
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, state tax regulations, and financial reporting
• Strong desire to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to rapid growth
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $175,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
