AP/AR Specialist

TSS is conducting a search for an AP/AR Specialist for a creative lighting design firm. This is a full-time, direct-hire, hybrid role located in Manhattan, NY. One day remote.

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized AP/AR Specialist to handle financial transactions related to accounts payable and receivable. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments, and managing efficient collection efforts while adhering to accounting standards and company policies.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 10am-6pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and validate invoices and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
• Process vendor invoices, match them with purchase orders, and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain accurate AP records and assist with month-end closing procedures.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices promptly.
• Monitor account balances, track payments, and follow up on outstanding amounts.
• Record and reconcile incoming payments with financial records.
• Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
• Maintain and update financial records within the accounting system.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking.
• Prepare and analyze reports related to AP/AR activities.
• Support audit and compliance processes within the finance team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4 years of experience in an AP/AR or Accounting Clerk role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred.
• SAP or NetSuite ERP experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The salary for this role is $85,000- $90,000yr. Benefits include: Medical, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holidays, and more!
