Join our dynamic team and make your mark on the payments technology landscape of tomorrow. #onsite, this is an on-site role located in our Jeffersonville, IN office. $44K-49K/YR based on experience Summary of This Role This position supports the Merchant Tax Reporting team by monitoring and controlling merchants’ tax information to ensure data accuracy. Individuals in this role will be required to learn and understand the full depth of the Merchant Tax reporting function, beginning to end, and become proficient on a variety of systems, modules and products, and use that information to complete the tasks associated with requests received from merchants and/or other departments within Global Payments. This role will need to evaluate merchant initiated changes to determine the appropriate actions to take in order to complete the request. This may include conducting research, performing maintenance updates on accounts and verifying those updates to ensure the outcome is accurate, using established guidelines and documentation. This position is accountable for ensuring accurate responses are provided to the customer, either written or verbally, within established timeframes. Requests and inquiries received may come from multiple departments within Global Payments. What Part Will You Play? Monitors mailboxes and maintenance queues, as assigned Works on maintenance requests by updating the system with revised information received from the merchant Documents all actions taken and any communications with internal and external customers clearly, timely and accurately Updates the appropriate systems/spreadsheets following completion of customer queries in an accurate and timely manner Communicates the resolution to the merchant as appropriate Effectively handles all merchant queries assigned and ensure they are completed following the appropriate procedures and policies Contacts merchants to assist in the resolution of a merchant tax reporting related issue and/or assist in the definition of the client’s problem to identify subsequent actions Uses online systems to review and interpret merchant data and educate merchants to better understand tax reporting timing, processes and requirements Escalate any non-standard requests as needed Complete assigned tasks and projects within provided ETA Establishes trust and develops collaborative relationships with other key functional partners in developing roles, responsibilities, and decision rights in an effort to deliver results Must be detail-oriented, with excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to investigate and assess issues to make certain the correct solution is implemented Ability to prioritize work and set own and team performance objectives and setting expectations Not an exhaustive list; other duties as assigned. What Are We Looking For in This Role? High School diploma Minimum 1-2 years experience in data entry, customer service, issue resolution or related role Advanced knowledge of GSuite Products and Tools Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships Strong analytical and organizational skills Detail oriented Ability to work and interact with different players of the organization Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise documentation Experience in the payment processing industry and/or software industry in a B2B context or related experience is highly valued Global Payments Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
