We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join a major industrial operation in Medley, Florida. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role will provide advanced technical support and engineering expertise to optimize quarry operations. The successful candidate will lead mine planning and design initiatives, oversee contractor activities, and ensure safety and compliance with environmental and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities :
- Develop mine plans and designs, including quarry optimization, production scheduling, and ore reserve estimation.
- Utilize advanced modeling tools and software to maximize resource recovery and operational efficiency.
- Assist the Quarry Supervisor with daily operations and oversee quarry activities in their absence.
- Perform pre-shift workplace exams and assign safety tasks to the quarry crew as needed.
- Manage and supervise contractors, ensuring adherence to safety standards, task completion, and invoice reviews.
- Coordinate with quarry leadership to implement mine plans that align with production goals and quality standards.
- Conduct mine surveys, including UAV aerial surveys and blast hole sampling; FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification required (or ability to obtain within three months).
- Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors on mobile equipment utilization, tracking, and scheduling major repairs.
- Assist in preparing capital plans, writing spending requests, and managing approved projects.
- Monitor and analyze performance data related to excavation, crushing, loading, and hauling activities.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental permits and reporting obligations.
- Foster a safety-conscious work environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to achieving operational goals.
