This is a hands-on role focusing on both mechanical airframe and engine maintenance, ensuring aircraft readiness for routine and emergency operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance, functional checks, and testing based on OEM and regulatory manuals (e.g., AMM, CMM, Airbus Helicopters SBs, FAA FARs).
- Support day-to-day readiness and airworthiness of assigned aircraft.
- Participate in onboard missions as required for troubleshooting and operational validation.
- Maintain ground support equipment (AGE) and calibration/certification of tools as per Airbus plans.
- Conduct maintenance recordkeeping and ensure FAA compliance.
- Execute installation and operational checks of specialized systems (e.g., night vision equipment).
- Collaborate with procurement and accounting teams to support spare part ordering and invoicing activities.
- Track personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure tools are safe and certified for use.
- Participate in training as required by organizational and regulatory bodies.
- Recommend and manage tooling, ground support equipment, and enhancements necessary for aircraft serviceability.
- Must hold a current FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P).
- Current FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate, or a strong willingness and eligibility to obtain it in the short term
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience maintaining Airbus H135 and/or H145 helicopters (AS350 experience is also considered).
- Familiarity with Safran engine systems and Airbus helicopter documentation.
- Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation maintenance standards.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and documentation.
- Must reside within a 60-mile radius of Merritt Island, FL.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Team player with a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
