We’re seeking a Structural Inspection Project Manager to join a forward-thinking engineering firm and lead diverse structural inspection and evaluation projects. This is an opportunity to bring your technical expertise and project leadership to high-impact initiatives that support public infrastructure and community development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to successfully execute structural inspection projects—bridging scope, schedule, and financial objectives.
- Serve as the client liaison and ensure contractual fulfillment, quality assurance, and project profitability.
- Use project management tools to monitor timelines, task progress, and ensure on-time project delivery.
- Oversee design and inspection activities, including technical reviews, constructability analysis, and engineering documentation.
- Act as the technical lead and potentially serve as the Engineer of Record for key projects.
- Build and nurture client relationships, driving business development and identifying future project opportunities.
- Represent the firm in meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Manage project financials—billing, budgeting, forecasting, and accounts receivables in collaboration with finance teams.
- Prepare and lead proposal responses for new business pursuits.
- Mentor junior staff, support their career development, and help shape a high-performing department culture.
- Facilitate internal and external training, recruiting, onboarding, and capacity planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance and operational excellence across all deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum 6 years of experience in structural engineering, including at least 2 years as a Project Manager post-PE
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Proven track record in client management and successful project delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NBIS Bridge Inspections or NTIS Tunnel Inspections
- TxDOT Precertifications in:
- 6.1.2 Routine Bridge Inspection (Project Manager)
- 6.2.2 Complex Bridge Inspection (Project Manager)
- 6.3.2 Tunnel Inspection (Project Manager)
