FINANCE MANAGER
(Full-time)
The Finance Manager will be an integral part of the finance team and will manage a wide range of financial activities for a dynamic live events and immersive entertainment company. This position is based in Las Vegas, NV and will be onsite and/or hybrid as business dictates. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive professional with a strong background in finance and a passion for the live event and immersive entertainment industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare periodic internal and external financial reports in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable payroll, financial reporting and general ledger maintenance (NetSuite)
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings including sales, payroll and income with communication to internal and external partners
- Perform other financial analysis and reporting as requested by CFO, senior management team and third-party stakeholders
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and manage comprehensive annual budgets, forecasts/updates, and long-term financial and operational plans in collaboration with senior management team
- Build, analyze and report detailed financial analysis and models for projects, with relevant key performance indicators
- Monitor and report project cashflow, including accurate forecasting to senior management
- Develop sales reports, including analysis of box office and retail store sales trends
Production Finance
- Collaborate with production teams to create and track production budgets, including detailed coding, estimated final cost (EFC), and related variance analysis
- Manage vendor onboarding and maintenance for production and back-office vendors
- Develop, implement and communicate financial controls, policies and procedures
- Maintain adequate support for all production expenses
Compliance & Risk Management
- Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Assess financial risks associated with contracts, insurance policies, and leases, recommending mitigation strategies
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related filed (CPA and/or MBA preferred); 5 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role; must possess excellent planning, management and problem-solving capabilities. Expertise with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills required. Experience in the ticketed live events, entertainment, or project-based industries is highly desirable.
Additional Duties/Job Skills
The position will work non-traditional hours operating in a dynamic, fast paced environment and will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously while demonstrating judgement on prioritization. Requires an energetic, detail-oriented self-starter and thoughtful manager who can work as a member of a team to solve problems. In addition, the ideal candidate possesses the following skills and is able to work in a drug-free environment and pass a chemical dependency drug test as required.
- Expertise with multi-entity organizations with complex business structures
- Experience with Controllership functions, including cash management, production accounting, financial reporting, chart of accounts ownership, tax and audit support
- Experience with construction projects and fund controls
- Prior entertainment production accounting or construction accounting experience a plus
