Are you passionate about creating memorable experiences and bringing events to life? Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is seeking an Events Program Support team member to assist with event operations at the beautiful Jenkins Estate. Jenkins Estate currently operates as an event venue that is available for corporate meetings, social events, memorials and weddings.
This position directly supports Jenkins Estate staff and programs. Incumbents in this position will work independently, within established guidelines, to support Jenkins Estate programming and private rentals. This role will be responsible for various tasks including event set up, hosting, and administrative tasks as assigned.
Scheduling:
This position will work approximately 15- 20 hours per week (including evenings and weekends) with hours varying based on program/rental needs.
Job Classification Status:
Part-time variable (PT) employees work an average of less than 20 hours per week and may work less than 1,560 hours on an annual basis. To learn more about the part-time classifications THPRD offers, see Part-Time Classifications.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including tables, chairs, decorations, and equipment.
Support event hosts by greeting guests, providing information, and ensuring a smooth event flow.
Assist with administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and scheduling.
Conducting and Guiding Venue Tours of the Historic Jenkins Estate.
Perform data entry.
Prepare and/or proofread a variety of forms, letters, flyers, promotional materials, etc.
Assist in promoting positive public relations and customer service for various programs, services, or activities.
Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and workshops.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that would likely provide the applicant with the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade AND two (2) years relevant experience, including lived experience.
