The attorney will work closely with senior shareholders on the full spectrum of bankruptcy cases and projects for clients. The attorney will work with commercial business clients. Job Description
We are seeking an attorney to join the Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice group in our Pittsburgh office. The attorney will work closely with senior shareholders on the full spectrum of bankruptcy cases and projects for clients. The attorney will work with commercial business clients. Some of the key anticipated responsibilities are listed below:
- Support the general Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice
- Support clients in broad and varied areas of law.
- Draft and negotiate forbearance agreements, bankruptcy plans, and corporate documents.
- Make regular court appearances in bankruptcy proceedings, receiverships, and related litigation.
- Assume borrower representation in financing transactions.
- Prepare motions, briefs, plans and other bankruptcy documents.
- Assist in preparation of expert reports and mediation statements.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- License to practice law in Pennsylvania
- Degree from an accredited law school
- 3-6 years’ experience in commercial bankruptcy and foreclosure practice preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid writing and editing skills with a focus on developing thoughtful and persuasive messaging
- Ability to work in and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management mindset
- Commitment to professionalism, cooperation, and teamwork
- A strong drive to provide proactive, client-focused legal services
- Experience using practice areas specific software
- Experience with business development
- Experience with direct client contact
- Experience with iManage document management system
- Experience filing court documents, electronically preferred
