Calling all area Artisans!
Tucker Arts Camp is hiring teaching and professional artists who are passionate and ready to expand their craft and creativity by leading art studios for children during our 8-week summer program.
The Teaching Studio Artist opportunity is for those creative folks who are enthusiastic about sharing their ingenuity and technical skills with young artists who are looking for supportive guidance in expressing their experience of the world through art.
Our Teaching Studio Artists are energetic, able to rapidly adjust in quickly shifting environments, and pro-active, independent problem solvers. Teaching Studio Artists must be comfortable and confident in sharing their technical and creative skills with children ranging from 3-12 years old in group sizes of 10-12 campers. As an essential leader within our Tucker Arts Camp Team, Teaching Studio Artists will excel in their communication and diplomacy by cultivating engaging and welcoming interactions with all families, campers, and fellow staff members.
Camp runs Monday to Friday June 23th – August 15th, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM with aftercare available to families. Teaching Studio Artist working hours run between 25-30 hours per week and will encompass all weeks of camp.

Applicants will have proven success leading groups of children in specific artistic areas of interest and enjoy working collaboratively with all age groups. Teaching Studio Artists are essential to the success of the camp; they are responsible for upholding camp values and act as professional role models to other Counselors by maintaining a patient and compassionate demeanor.
Preferred areas of expertise include: Visual Art, Craft Making, Theater or Puppetry.
All Teaching Studio Artists must complete orientation and training prior to the beginning of Tucker Arts Camp.
