Human Resources Assistant I
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (2 Days On-Site)
6 Month Assignment (Potential to extend)
Pay Rate: $33.06 - $34 per hour
As a Human Resources Assistant I, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to our Business Support Team. You will serve as the primary point of contact at the Human Resources Lobby front desk, handling heavy phones and ensuring excellent customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings and conference rooms, ordering supplies, processing invoices, verifying employment, assisting with I9s and timekeeping, and supporting special programs as needed.
Learn and assist with day-to-day operations within the assigned area, responding to human resources inquiries and ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
Prepare and review various correspondence, documents, files, and records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Compile and review data from multiple sources to prepare correspondence, logs, reports, and other documents. Maintain databases as necessary.
Assist in requisitioning materials and supplies, recommend purchases of office equipment and furniture, and prepare purchase orders.
Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, make travel arrangements, and prepare expense reports as required.
Attend and participate in meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute information to staff.
Education and Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a related field; or 2 years of relevant administrative support experience.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required; experience with Oracle is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
Detail-oriented, organized, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates must be local to Southern California.
No CalPERS membership.
