Research Associate I
Location: Novato, CA. (On-Site)
12 Month Assignment (Potential to extend)
Pay Rate: $42/hr.
On behalf of our client a leader in the pharmaceutical industry. A company focused on developing therapeutics for patients dealing with life threatening rare genetic diseases. We are seeking a skilled Research Associate I to join the team dedicated to the development and qualification of analytical assays for enzyme replacement therapies. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in planning and executing experimental studies, ensuring they align with project objectives and timelines.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute experiments to support the development and qualification of analytical assays, focusing on potency, purity, cellular uptake, enzyme kinetics, and compendial methods.
- Provide concise and quantitative analysis of experimental data, interpreting results effectively.
- Deliver oral presentations at departmental and interdepartmental meetings to communicate findings and project updates.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 1 year of experience.
- Strong understanding of large molecule proteomics, lyophilized materials, and devices.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in biochemical and/or bioassay methods for characterizing potency, purity, and activity of proteins.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including scientific writing.
- Proven capability in data analysis, interpretation, and scientific communication.
