Maintenance Reliability & Projects Engineer will execute continuous improvements related to reliability and capital excellence efforts resulting in increased uptime and running rates. They are also responsible for the development, strategy, and lead for the implementation of systems that will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing plant. The actions of the incumbent will enable the reduction of maintenance costs by correct application of strategies. In this role, he/she will develop and maintain a data driven maintenance and reliability improvement portfolio. This position will support management activities for assigned projects.
- Implement, monitor, and mentor reliability elements of manufacturing excellence and be accountable for execution of deliverables within all capital projects.
- Establishes short and long-term goals to assure the facility’s manufacturing equipment maintained in optimum conditions.
- Accountable for preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance optimization for value added resource utilization while obtaining decreased emergency down time from asset failure.
- Facilitate, implement, and monitor reliability centered maintenance and root cause analysis for value creation. Identify and develop projects based on proactive strategies and follow ups to increase asset life.
- Identify predictive tool application and understand all tools being applied in the plant. Implement, monitor, and guide management of change processes according to reliability excellence principles.
- Provide support for continuous improvement projects aligned to the operational and maintenance excellence vision. Collaborate with teams to identify issues, incorporate best practices, and identify solutions across the plant.
- Facilitate interactions with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Directly and indirectly supervise floor maintenance technicians.
- Any and all other duties as directed by the Plant Engineering Manager
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering
- Four or more years of Maintenance and Reliability experience.
- Knowledge and experience using computer maintenance management systems.
- Working knowledge of USDA, and OSHA regulations
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
