Senior Staff Accountant
Orange, CA-Hybrid
Full time
Flex schedule: (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Monday-Thursday 9 hours workday, and Fridays 8:00am-12:00pm
MUST have experience in Manufacturing accounting- Local to Orange County or within reasonable commute
- This position is responsible for the supporting and creating timely and accurate financial statements, creating journal entries, developing processes and procedures, and maintaining compliance with Internal Controls.
- Ensure appropriate accounting and management of master financial data
- Ensure accurate and timely statutory reporting, under GAAP and Internal policies
- Propose and undertake necessary actions to comply with corporate guidelines
- Support manager with tax compliance, manage tax, internal and external audits
- Provide necessary information to Corporate for Risk Management
- Support manager with external audit requirements (e.g., prepare materials, coordinate deadlines)
- Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy. Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts
Other Requirements
- Drive the business to meet business objectives and goals
- Work with manager to solve audit findings from Corporate Controller
- Prepare Financial Statements in line with GAAP, accurate and timely statutory reporting under GAAP
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Provide financial support in CapEx activities
- Provide feedback and propose alternatives to improve financial results
- Collaborate with functional areas (HR, IT, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, etc.)
- Support manager with preparation of monthly actuals and projected cash flows
- Support manager in implementation of an enhanced reporting system, i.e. Business Intelligence Systems, Business Central, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, or a Business-related field.
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong work ethic with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
- Proactive attitude
- Education and/or Experience: B.A. / Master's degree (M. B. A.) or an equivalent; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
