Technology Unlimited Group (TUG) seeks a self-starting Test Engineer who will be working with a small team to create and execute test plans and procedures and conduct analysis of test results on a software component (System Network Controller) of a Tactical Data Link (specifically Link 22) system to verify the messages passing to each component of the system is correct. Majority of this testing is conducted using software tools that simulate the other components of the system and simulate other NILE Units to transfer tactical data between them and simulate other network traffic. Some operational and integration testing will be conducted with real equipment. The tester would be responsible for :
- Updating and creating technical documentation on the System Network Controller including testing documentation, procedures, and reports.
- Conducting testing by carefully following instructions and use data visualization skills to sort through message details and verify requirements are successfully tested.
- Using analytic skills to troubleshoot issues and record information for software team to assess using bug reports, and test artifacts.
- Use Word and Excel to track testing status, create test reports, and track other relevant information.
