Regional Manager, Field Sales
The East Region Manager will lead our best in class field sales team to drive continued growth in our retail business in the eastern U.S. This role is responsible for executing strategic initiatives and building positive brand awareness within our retail partner B&M points of distribution including ULTA, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. This role will work closely with the TULA Field Sales Director, education team and our retail partners to maximize consumer-facing initiatives and drive strategic in-store programs, events and education.
This role is in a fast paced environment that offers an opportunity to be part of building a rapidly growing brand, while actively contributing to strategy with a focus on execution. This role is on the sales team, reporting directly to the Field Sales Director. TULA headquarters are based in Nomad in New York City (though we’re working remotely for now!) This position can be based in key eastern U.S. markets including NY, DC or Atlanta.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Field Sales Director to develop and execute strategic sales, training and event plans to accelerate brand awareness and meet sales goals within assigned territory.
- Recruit, train, motivate, develop and retain a highly effective team of Account Executives.
- Increase sales and brand awareness via strong retailer relationships, maximizing territory event and training opportunities.
- Exhibit strategic agility and leadership capabilities related to managing complexity of high volume markets, door counts, and field staff.
- Responsible for ensuring brand standards and objectives are met via clear and consistent communication, effective scheduling, strong in-store presence and coaching and mentoring of the field team.
- Ability to navigate difficult conversations with professionalism, poise and kindness.
- Ability to work independently exhibiting excellent planning, prioritization and organizational skills
- Accountable for financial goals via management of contractor and expense budgets.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships, with all levels in the organization in a fast paced and growing environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence others.
- Gathers best practices and competitive insights for the organization, providing applicable feedback to key partners.
- Ensures the field team is securing and leading trainings with content including TULA brand culture, product knowledge and selling techniques to elevate brand awareness and goal achievement.
- Partner with Director of Global Education to support training initiatives and ensure field team has necessary collateral and education tools to effectively execute events and trainings
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Region Manager or Account Executive in beauty (Ulta, Nordstrom, Sephora experience)
- A proven track record of achieving personal and territory sales goals.
- Strong leadership, sales, financial goal management, customer service, communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working and leading successful cosmetic events.
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional attitude and ability to be flexible and handle change in a positive manner
- Proven leader with the ability to inspire and motivate a field sales team
- Growth mindset that translates into a passion for the consumer in a fun and fresh way
