DEPARTMENT: Events Department
JOB SUMMARY: The Events Manager will support the Tulalip Tribes Vision, Mission and Values, and meet the goals/objectives of the host department or division. This position will be responsible for developing, planning, implementation and oversight of community events and gatherings. Ensures events are successfully executed within budget and community feedback is incorporated into future events. This position requires a flexible schedule that includes working evenings, weekends, and many major holidays. Must be able to meet the physical demands of long hours and irregular schedules. This role will also serve as a support person for the Canoe Committee.
COMPENSATION: $36.86hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field. *Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) years of experience with public speaking.
- Five (5) years of experience providing guest services.
- Five (5) years of experience budgeting and event planning.
- Five (5) years of computer experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs
- Five (5) years of experience with supervisory responsibilities, developing and building teams.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver’s License. (Personal Auto Insurance)
- Must adhere to the Tribal Insurance Policy (Abstract required)
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
