What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Operations Manager position at Tulane University?
The Administrative Operations Manager works in partnership with the Department Chair and the Senior Department Administrator to manage payroll and purchasing administration for the Department of Social, Behavioral, and Population Sciences. Additional responsibilities of the position include assisting the Department Chair with day to day office management activities, as well as the financial management and travel booking for students and departmental guests.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills
Knowledge of standard computer applications: including word processing, spreadsheet and database software
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
Ability to effectively communicate with contacts at all levels of the university and with outsider vendors
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and competently manage a variety of activities with multiple deadlines; motivation and willingness to take initiative and full responsibility for selected activities; proven ability with budget management and accountability

High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years' office management, financial management, and/or human resources experience
Bachelor's Degree in management, general business, or related field
Experience in or working knowledge of institutions of higher education
Fluency in French and/or Spanish
Salary : $48,600 - $61,600
